Sick Little Man

So Cal was sick today with a stomach bug... He threw up a lot of times... and most times it was all over daddy!
He was better by tonight and we're hoping tomorrow our little man is back to normal (which is still kind of fussy anyway) :)
Love you little monster!

Baby Lambs and a School Trip

A few weeks ago I got to go on a field trip with Kaden's class. We went to Mrs. Crooke's farm and we got to see the baby lambs that had been born recently. It was a really neat trip and I was so glad that I was able to work my schedule so that I could go. Kaden is enjoying school this year and he's really excited for kindergarten next year! We're really proud of our little man!

Smile!

a few horses/ponies- I don't know which. :)

So they're adorable as babies!

umm but kind of nasty as adults. I much prefer them as a nice sweater! :)
I thought this pic was so cute!

{Eight Years}

She's 8 now. We will only have her in our house for 10 more years.
That reality is hitting hard because I'm pretty sure she was only born about 2 second ago.
She makes me insane sometimes, but I know someday she'll be one of my best friends.
Love you Kenzie

I hope to do some more 8 year pics now that the weather is nice. These were on our way to the car to go to school on her real bday. :)

Happy Birthday Baby Girl

My first baby turned 8 this week. I can't quite wrap my mind around it. We love her to pieces.

I just got back from a 2 day work trip, so I'm off to bed, but I needed to give my girl a shout out and let you all know I didn't forget and I'll blog the festivities soon!

Happy Birthday Jess!

Friendship isn't a big thing - it's a million little things.
- Author Unknown

Tomorrow is Jess' birthday and I am so blessed to have such a wonderful friend. We've been friends for 11 years now and she knows me inside and out. We've been there for each other through all the happy times and the rough ones too. It's so nice to have someone know you're imperfect, but love you anyway. So happy birthday Jess, thanks for the million little things.

(The above pic was obviously from Jess' wedding)

Desert Day

Two weeks ago Kenzie has desert day at school. In 2nd grade they do a long desert unit and it's culminated with a day in the desert in the classroom! They crank the heat (the room was like 85 degrees) and make tents and have fun activities all day! I got to go for a while and enjoy the heat. :)

Kindergarten Bound

Eric and I have recently been reeling over the fact that Kaden is REALLY growing up. He's just been our quiet, shy little man for so long, but he's really come out of his shell at school and with friends this year. His preschool teacher told me the other day that he's totally ready for Kindergarten, and I'm just not sure if I am! I was totally ready with Kenzie b/c she's a go-getter and already thinks she's 21, but Kaden is the original "little man" and I'm not so sure I want him gone all day :( I took these pics a few weeks ago while he was working on his homework and I loved them.

He might be growing up, but he still has adorable, pudgy hands.

He's really good at focusing and working on his homework

I love you Kade and we're so proud of you :)
