Coming Soon to a Camera Near ME!!!

I am soooo excited to get our new camera lens!! It is a Christmas present from Eric's parents- THANK YOU!! They let us pick out what we wanted and we knew this was it!! I can't wait to begin shooting with it- it's going to transform my photos!! Yippeee!! So for you photo junkies here's the specs... Tamron 28-75 f2.8 XR Di LD Aspherical (IF). It's the Nikon equivalent... the Nikon brand was just a bit too expensive at a whopping $1,579!! Sorry that will never be in the budget, but this one shoots almost as well and I am sooo excited. Did I mention that I'm excited? :)

New Years Trip to Philly!!

This was our 3rd Annual trip to Philly on the train. We take the train in, go to the IMAX (we used to go to the xmas light show, but some people are haters!) and then we have lunch in the city as well. It's always a highlight of our Christmas vacation and this year was just as great as ever! We left Kira with grandmom and headed to Philly for a day of fun with the Nobles!
PS Sorry there are tons of pics from this trip... scroll down to skip and get to Christmas!

Cheesy Gloves!!
So Eric got me some black gloves for xmas, but I managed to lose them as we were walking out the door... so they happened to come with a white pair as well, so rather than have cold hands I grabbed them... well I looked ridiculous... like a mime... so I couldn't help but randomly act like one from time to time. I think I might have embarrassed everyone!

Little man patiently waiting...

This year Dan created an awesome scavenger hunt for the kids. On the envelope was a list of items the kids had to point out or collect in the city... examples were a flag, cross, Mc donalds, Statue, birds, and they even had to do three crayon rubbings... it was so much fun. Here are the kids with their packets all ready to begin!

The Franlkin Institute is such a cool place. If for no other reason, at least go play on the stairs! :)

This year we saw hte Polar Express at the IMAX. It was amazing to see in an IMAX theatre... actually Karen and I both got very sick from all the motion!
