Growing Bigger

Here are a few pictures of Kira from the end of Sept. She is really filling out and beginning to look so much like the others did when they were babies.

She's still a peanut

She actually looks chubby in this picture! Kenzie wore this little polo shirt when she was a baby and I loved it then too. We always were asked if Kenz was a boy when she wore it. For Kira, she has so much hair that I can just pop a bow in and then there's no question that she's a girl.
Kira having some fun crib time looking at the silly animals.
I think the pacifier is as big as her head! I was hoping she would NOT like this brand, but it's what they gave her in the hopital and it's her favorite. I think it's hideous, but it does the trick!

1st DAY OF KINDERGARTEN!

Kenzie started school in September. We actually were on vacation for the first few days of school, so Kenzie had her very own first day! She is loving school and her favorite part is "rest time!"

Here she is taking a few quick pics before we headed to the bus
Our little girl is growing up so fast!
We bought a plain black LLbean backpack and Kenzie got to pick out some patches to iron on, to make it her own.
We have to walk down to the entrance of our development to meet the bus. Kenzie loves riding on the bus with her friend Isabel.

Kaden wasn't too sure why his playmate got to go on the bus and he had to stay home... he just keeps talking about when he's five- I think he kind of thinks that he'll be five at his b-day in Nov.
A proud daddy waiting for the bus.
Kenzie asked if she could take this kitty on the bus with her so that she wouldn't be afraid.
Here we go- BUS 680
Bye Kenzie have a wonderful 1st day of school!

2nd Day of school

Kenzie was thrilled that she was allowed to bring a kitty to school for her "rest time".

This would have been a great picture except that I didn't notice our neighbors' trash can behind her! :)

We Grew PUMPKINS!!

This year I had the great idea to plan pumpkins around our house. But not just any pumpkins would do, I bought the seeds for the jumbo 400 lb pumpkins. As you can see from the pictures, they didn't get too big, but the plant and leaves were huge! They basically overtook our entire yard! The kids love that we grew them ourselves. Next year maybe we'll just try normal ones. :)
These little green guys are WATERMELLONS! I don't know why they're tiny, but they still tasted great! The kids loved that they were eating mini-mellon!

Kaden loved this teeny-tiny one. This was wasn't edible though :)

Photos with Mommy

Now that Kenzie is in school all day, it's just me, Kaden, and Kira during the day. I'm still trying to find out where all the time goes each day, but on this one day I took a few minutes to take a few pictures of the kids. I was using a black backdrop, but it looks pretty awful. The lighting wasn't right, but when I only have a few minutes I just have to run with it.

Sleepy Kira- she still sleeps a lot, but not nearly as much as her 1st month
Silly Kaden would rather make faces than smile :0
This is Kaden's tough football face
Well, kind of a smile... Good job Kaden!

Silly Boy

While Kaden waited for Kenz to play soccer, he had some fun of his own! This little guy is as goofy and silly as they come!

Daddy and Kaden spent the hour playing footbal. Kaden still has a little ways to go... :)
Kaden is true to the Eagles even though our season is off to a rough start. If it continues this way we might need to go back to my roots and cheer for a team that's guarenteed to win (go Pats!-That's just a shout out for all my family!)

Soccer for Kenzie

This fall we signed Kenzie up for soccer through the YMCA. It has been a bit of a fiasco so far... we signed her up for the 4-5 division, but after two weeks it was clear that the majority of kids were just turning four and Kenzie was bored out of her mind. SO, we have switched to the 6-7 division, but between sickness and rain we haven't been to a game in two weeks... maybe next week. These pics are from her second night with the young division.

Our Little Soccer Cutie... she might not know how to play, but she looks cute! :)

Kenzie wasn't quite sure about this little guy...

Okay, seriously I think kenzie has a foot and a half on this little boy. We definitely chose the wrong age division. :)

Kenzie here is wondering why the cute little girl is playing kitty in the grass and why the boy behind her has enough padding on to play full contact football! (I'm awful I know, but really...)
Kenzie was given her tee-shirt as a member of the red team!

Spidey Jammies

Kenz and Kaden were so thrilled that we got them new spiderman jammies that were just like their friend Benjamin's. Kadens are true winter jammies, but he has been so excited about them that he's been wearing them even on the warm nights!

This is how Kaden tells shows us that he's two years old... he uses his two index fingers... It's too cute, so I havent' corrected him! :)
