Adirondacks 2009

Eric's guys trip was last weekend and he had a great time. This year it was Eric, Kevin, Dan Noble, Josh Isabel, Dan Emr, and Schmidt. The weekend was spent hiking, cliff jumping, and having good old fashion boy fun. They took some great video of the jumps and I'll try and post more of them later.

So here's the famous blueberry pie... Schmidt decided that he needed to buy a pie that they could eat at the top of the mountain. So for the 2 hr hike the guys lugged along this pie and then took this landmark photo to show the accomplishment. Eric said it was a good pie though!

{Sunflowers}

Every year we plant sunflowers somewhere in our yard. This year we planted them along the back of the hill. It backs up to woods, so it's a nice contrast to all the green. We also planted some new colors this year and I LOVE them!

Traditional Yellow

This one is about 6 feet tall. I didn't plant any of the mammoth ones this year. We usually do and they get like 12 feet high!

This is a view down the row... they're not all open yet, but in a week or so they all will be.

I love, love, love summer, but my favorite season is defintely fall and these colors remind me of how I can't wait for fall!

Adirondacks Preview

My husband survived another guys weekend in the Adirondacks. He almost didn't survive once he was home though... this single mommy of four was pretty much at the end of her rope and who better to take it out on? Sorry hun, I am glad you got away and had fun! I have a bunch of fun videos to post later. This one has some scenery and a few of the guys jumping.

Did I Mention....

...that I bough my son the goofiest glasses in the entire world? He looks like the biggest dumbo ever, but they work awesome and I still can't resist his chubby cuteness!
