Well, we've decided on a boys name (and when I say we, I mean that I like it and Monica doesn't)... HAYES... A boy in Kenzie's class is named hayes and we love it (again, by we, I mean I love it)! And Kevin even noted we could name him Von-Hayes Mangin (after the popular 80's Phillies outfielder) - all the more reason to love the name...

So we will officially be naming our son Hayes!

Pumpkins at Country Junction!

This evening, before dinner we took a ride up to Country Junction (with Ashley's Furniture) to buy our pumpkins. They have all pumpkins for $3.00! They have a huge sellection (don't wait too long if you want to go there in a few weeks it'll be really slim pickings- we waited too long last year.) The kids enjoyed each picking out one big guy and one smaller one-only 1.00 for the smaller one (I know I sound like I work there.) Anyhow it was a nice time and we had fun carving our small ones when we got home. Kaden actually got sick (like fever and throwing up suddenly) so we only did the small ones and we didn't take any pictures. Hopefully, he'll be feeling better in a few days. :(

I love that Kira was babbling like she was actually reading the sign.

I love the way these gourds look.
Seriously, who doesn't love $3.00 pumpkins! Such a great deal!

Daddy really likes to find the chubby pumpkins! ha!
I attempted to put Kira in this bin of mini-pumpkins, but she wasn't happy, so I didn't get a single good picture

Eric

Just incase you didn't know... Eric posted the "favorite person" comment about Tucker. It's NOT going to be my son's name. There is enough cruelty in the world without a name like "tucker."
-Monica
Whoever voted for Tucker is my new favorite person!!!

Mums the word...

I LOVE the fall! Have I mentioned that before? I seriously love it! Sometimes Jess and I will actually call eachother on a fall day just to say, "can you believe how nice and cold it is. It's perfect fall day!" and that's all. So, I love fall. It's feeling a lot more like my fav. season since we're back from SC and because I finally bought my mums! On Tuesday I took all three kids and we picked out mums, mini pumpkins and gourds, and one big haybale (sp?).
I brought the camera a took a few pics while I could. Enjoy...

Scarecrow Babies... kinda freaky

So I thought it would be fun to let each of the older kids make their own baby scarecrow for our front porch. They did an awesome job stuffing the baby clothes and setting them up. I made a slight mistake and that was letting them draw the faces... we now have two scarecrows that strongly resemble a "Chucky" doll. Yikes! I don't think they meant to, but... Kenzie's red hair looks like blood and how do I tell her that I need to re-do them? So yes, we are that weird family on the street. Oh my...
