Phasing out the Nap...

Makenzie starts school one week from today- I can't believe the summer is coming to an end!! Much to my delight, Kenzie has still been taking a 2 hour nap for me each day. She is a lot like her mommy and really needs her sleep. However, going back to school means phasing out naptime. It's not usually a pretty sight! She's good to go until about 4pm and then she starts crying to us that she's so tired because we didn't let her take a nap! :) It's kind of funny and cute and sad all at once.
Anyhow... all that to say, yesterday we went to the pool for the day and while the younger two slept Kenzie and Daddy sat outside reading books. It was too cute not to take some pictures of.

They were in the shade, but it was still a bit bright, so Kenzie borrowed by glasses. Ha!

Not sure why they are both grimacing?? They're reading Stone Soup... Maybe it didn't sound yummy to them?
