In honor of a birthday...

Just in case you don't know Eric well... he is one of the most competitive people ever, "Mangin to the Max" as Emr has so fittingly named him and creepily written a little song about... Eric will work SO hard to do something, whether it's cutting down 100 foot trees, chopping wood every morning at 5:30am, completing his master's degree while having 4 kids, training for races etc... Well sometimes that determination can make me a little nuts in cases like the one below...
Problem... tennis balls and kite stuck on the roof, and one section of siding needed to be fixed. Addi tonal problem, we didn't have a long ladder available. Solution... "Monica hold this ladder on a picnic table (that's wobbling) then I'll climb on the first part of the roof and then hand me the ladder again and I'll put it on the slanted roof to get to the top of the house" Ugg! I must admit that it worked, and the kids think daddy is so cool and that mommy worries to much, but oh my!

This was a tricky part b/c the roof is slanted a bit on the first level and it started sliding down in a walking fashion. I was laughing and E's mom was panicking :)
