Are You Around to Help?

Hi Everyone!
Most of you know that I am doing a project for the Bucks County Women’s Recovery Center. It’s a ¾ house for women that are dealing with alcohol addictions. My mom is a volunteer there and I recently saw some pictures of a party they had for one woman that was leaving the center to live on her own. I was really bothered to see how old fashioned and dated the living spaces were and I thought that maybe I could help. These women are very strong and committed to changing their lives and the accommodations just suggested that they were not worthy of anything nice or new. I wanted to change that and make them feel cared for and valued. So…I’ve met with the director and here’s the plan.

On Friday night I am gathering together a team of people that will paint 5 rooms in the recovery center. I need lots of hands on deck for this part, because all the painting needs to be finished in one night.

On Saturday I will be bringing over a huge van load of my staging inventory and donating it to the center. I will need some help with hanging artwork, arranging furniture, accessorizing, etc.

If you can come and lend a hand even for a few hours it would be Greatly appreciated! If you can’t help out, but want to donate something- I am going to be buying a lot of paint and supplies and you’re welcome to help with that if you’d like to.

Please let me know as soon as you can if you can help and which day. Friday will probably be from 5:30- finish. Saturday will be from 9:30- 1pm (that’s a guess on the end time)
