Update

Well it's Tuesday morning... the day we thought Callen and I would be heading home...BUT last night I got a call from Eric at 2am that Kenzie was up all night throwing up. By 6am Eric and Kira had it as well. So, now we'll be staying in the hospital until tomorrow afternoon. Fortunately, since Callen was born after 6pm on Sunday, they give the option of him staying until Wed. or we could have signed him out early today. I will be officially discharged this morning, but I will be allowed to stay in an extra room until he's discharged tomorrow. It's the same thing I did with Kira. I didn't quite plan on needing money for meals (of course I didn't bring my wallet) or bringing my own Tylenol, or needing extra outfits, but Eric's dad is going to pick up my supplies and bring them to me later tonight! :)

Eric's mom is wonderful, and she's up at the house with Eric, Kenzie, and Kira. Eric is getting some sleep (he was up all night with the girls and also getting sick himself) and Laurie is disinfecting and washing sheets and blankets while the girls rest.

My mom was awesome too! She quickly came and got Kaden (the only one who didn't have the bug) and took him to her house for a special "Mom-mom Day!" So far Kaden's fine... I actually think he started the whole thing a few days ago (he had some tummy trouble of his own) but it passed really quickly. So we're just hoping he's in the clear.

Callen is doing wonderfully! He's sooo sweet and good! He's a great eater and so far has a really chill disposition. I'm enjoying having lots of mommy time with him here at the hospital-especially since I know I have a crazy life to return home to in a just a few days! :)

Please be praying that everyone gets better soon and also that we can clean and disinfect the house well enough that Callen and I will not get the bug when we get home tomorrow (I'm thrilled it's supposed to be 65 degrees tomorrow b/c we can open all the windows and air out!)

Sorry for no pictures still. It's killing me more than you know!

Oh Monica, I'm so sorry that this all happened right now! I love the name you (finally) decided on and I pray that everyone is feeling better and gets over it completely today! Can't wait for the pics! The doll ones had me laughing though.

Girl, I have been there. About 4 years ago my very best friend, Amy, had her #3 boy. Meanwhile her whole family got the flu--including her mom, dad and sister as well as her boys at home. Her sister even landed in the hospital with it. So, I picked her and the baby up from the hospital and she stayed at our place for three days. I was so lucky to have all of that sweet time with her precious boy. Did I mention this all happened over Easter weekend??? I will pray for the health of your people. You are so lucky to have Laurie and your mom to the rescue! Take care! xoxo Kristin

Congratulations Mon! He's adorable. :) I am shocked that you find time to blog with your crazy life!!

I must say that I LOVE the name choice, but I am laughing that you chose a "k" sounding name but not a name starting with a "K"...were you trying to bug me?? You know me and my need to have things in order with names! haha!

Can't wait to hear about more adventures with the new addition to the family. :)
