1. If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.
2. Be suspicious of Ebay buyers that want things mailed to Nairobi, Africa
3. Don't order a new camera until the cash from the old one is in my hands
4. Be careful of scammers
So yes, we were almost scammed with our camera. The buyer was a fraud and sent us a fake PayPal confirmation email saying that the camera had been paid for. A few things did not seem right in the format of the email and I am so thankful that we did not ship the camera. We called PayPal and confirmed that it was a scam so everything is ok and he did not get any of our information. BUT, since we thought we had received payment I ordered the new camera that was significantly on sale (and ending soon.) So, now I am just praying that we can sell the camera soon and to a legit buyer. In any case sometime this week we will be the owners of 2 Nikon Cameras! Ugg! Oh the joys of Ebay.
