The Nebulizer...dun,dun, dun...

Some of you may know that we've had a rough week health-wise with Kaden. His allergies have flaired up so badly and he was in the doctor's three times. We seem to have things under control now, but it was very scary at first because he was having a very hard time breathing and his eyes kept swelling shut... not very fun for a 3 yr old. Now, we have him on a nebulizer every 4 hours, he's on steroids to open his lungs, and prescription antihistamine eye drops- the cocktail of things seem to be really helping!

Now, for the nebulizer.... Kaden absolutely hates it! It doesn't hurt at all, but it's noisy, kind of smelly, and just gets him all worked up. We've been using it for three days and he still sobs the entire time we use it! I thought I'd snap a few photos of the torture treatment.

Kaden likes to wear sun glasses while we use it because the vapor goes up near his eys... could he look any funnier?

And once it's over he's perfectly happy! So, don't feel too badly for him- it's a bit of self-inflicted drama! :-)
