I can't stand this time of year... It's winter and cold outside and there's really nothing going on to blog about. Thank goodness we'll have a new baby to blog obsessively about soon, but for now I'm in the house again with sick kids (and sick kids don't make great photo opps) just waiting to go into labor and wishing I had something to blog about.
Is it Summer yet???

False Labor Stinks!
We've had lots of action here over the past few days... lots and lots of contractions, with no baby. It's a catch 22 b/c we'd like the little man to "cook" for another week or so, but I am definitely sick of 10 hour stretches of contractions (uncomfy, but not painful ones) usually coming all during the night. Needless to say it leaves me tired and a wee bit cranky during the day :) I know that this phase of labor is getting my body ready, but man after doing this four times already I kinda think it'll be ready!
So once again, God is working on my patience and I am trying to just really enjoy these last days with Kira as the little baby. She's actually sick this weekend, so I've gotten some sweet cuddle time!
We'll keep you posted on any real progress.

Amazing Nursery!!

I stole this picture from my friend Staci's blog... She's a photographer in WI and she's amazing, but I must note that this is the coolest nursery EVER!! I was so impressed by it and how well Staci captured the color with the natural light. Check out Staci's work at http://www.stacilphotographytheblog.com/
1 Month Away
Well today we're officially one month away from #4's due date! For some people that might mean they have about four more weeks, but that's not the case with these Mangin babies! Kira was due on Sept. 9th and Arrived August 13th... so basically we need to be ready any day now. I think we're just about all set... seriously by the 4th one you come to see that as long as you have the basics everything else is just a trip to Target away! :)
So we'll keep you posted. Our goal is to make it at least one more week... we would really rather not have to deal with an apnea monitor again, but it's not like we can control that anyhow.
And as far as names go... he's still unnamed! It's prob. between Hayes, Nolan, Beckett, Greyson, Callen, and... well I think that's all. It stinks to not have a decision! It's driving me nuts!!

Sick Day # 4... On the upswing!
Kenzie was really sick this week. She was out from school from Wednesday on. She had a high fever and just felt miserable (achy, head hurt etc.) for days on end! Finally Sat AM she had a bit of energy, so I brought her over to the table and we made some crafts. We had a puppet kit to make butterflies and people etc, but we thought it would be more fun to make our family! Kenzie really had fun and it was good to see her out of bed and off the couch for a little while. It's now Monday and thankfully she's fully recovered! I was definitely getting majorly stir crazy, so I am glad she's better and no one else got sick.
She doesn't look happy in this picture, but we did have a lot of fun!
Please excuse the unshowered, frumpy mommy! :)

Mommy was designed with a skirt and short legs without any feet... this of course was hysterical to Kenzie
Kenzie was a bit more kind with herself... long arms, normal legs and of course... "bean shoes!"Kaden got the most laughs from Kenzie... the tiny little arms, the big head, and the bean shoes were absolutely cracking her up! It was so good to hear her laughing after so many sick days.
Little Kira got som funny hockey stick feet!

Bye Bye Shaggy
We've been debating for a while and today we finally got Kaden's hair cut. I really love it long and I will let it get long again for the summer, but without the humidity he really had no curl and most days it just looked like some serious bedhead. Kaden missed being able to do a faux-hawk and wanted it shorter, so we agreed.
Here's a before... I took it in the car before we went in...
Silly boy- open your eyes!

Ta-da! It's short and sweet and we can do a faux-hawk! It's shorter than I like it, but I know in a week or so it will have grown in a bit. I think he looks a lot like Uncle Dj in this picture.
YMCA Basektball... An Attempt...
Today was Kaden's first day of YMCA Basketball. He has been so excited for months for b-ball to finally begin. It started off great with Kaden loving the shoot around time and playing with Daddy. That was about the end of it though... Kaden's shyness got the best of him and the tears started flowing early on. It broke my heart to see how sad he got! Eric even tried to stay right with him, and that worked through the stretching, but once the instruction started there was no way we could convince Kade to join in. We might try one more week and if that doesn't go any better I guess we'll just try again next year. :-(
I did get a few quick pics before the shyness came out

Sweet kicks little man!
Daddy joined in on the stretching
But, once the instruction began, Kaden would not go near the group... That's him and Eric off to the right...
Poor Boy! We let him leave early because we didn't want to scar him and make him even more afraid. The hardest part is that Eric and I just have no idea how best to deal with this especially since neither of us were this way as kids... Any advice?

Gal Pals
Last week Jess and Campbell came over for the afternoon. The girls are definitely frienimies! Campbell likes the idea of Kira, but if she gets too close (which she does quite often) it makes Campbell pretty upset!
I just took a few quick pics of Campbell
playing with a baby bottle (one for Kira's dolls)I just took a few quick pics of Campbell
Campbell has Kevin's amazing blue eyes :)

Short and Sweet...
We got Kenzie's hair cut yesterday... She's not a big fan of brushing her hair, so the long hair was getting a bit annoying. AND, I think she looks younger and sweeter, so I guess I am trying to keep her young while I can. It turned out really cute and she likes it a lot!
Before.. Front
The Piano!
This weekend we got our piano back. We had it at our old house, but in the new house we really didn't have a place for it until the basement was finished. It worked out really well that we have a friend that is a piano teacher and needed a piano for her home for a while. So for the last year and a half or so she's been able to use it. Since the basement is finished our front room is no longer a playroom, but a soon to be piano room! :) Eric loves having his piano back and the kids are very excited to begin taking lessons!
Now, please go easy, I had a large wall collage of photos on this wall and I had to take it down to make room for the piano, so there are lots of holes in the wall. Actually we were shocked to find a huge hole in the wall behind one of the photo frames. When THP came to move our thermostat in that room, they never patched the wall?!? So just one more project for my wonderful hubby! He doesn't know this yet, but I kind of think since so many places need to be touched up with paint that it would be a perfect time to repaint the whole room! :)
